Ancient castle Neustadt-Glewe – Hotel Schloss Neustadt-Glewe

The brick building dates back to the early 14th century, when the city has already been founded. The ensemble consists of 2 lengthway houses, that are connected by a defensive wall, and a round dominant tower. After the first rebuildings in the 16th century a living hall and two dungeons were added to the building. The “old house”, which had been used as the outbilding in medieval times, now accomodates the restaurant with a historic beer cellar and a hall that hosts art exhibitions. In the former residence you can experience some insights of the live in a medieval castle.
